Athletes participating in the highly anticipated UFC event at the White House this June have been given an added motivation to excel. The promotion officially confirmed on Saturday that a special $1 million bonus pool will be available for the historic card.
According to broadcast commentary during UFC 327, the additional funds are intended to mark the 10th anniversary of the promotion's partner, Crypto.com. The distribution of this significant prize pool remains flexible; the full amount could be awarded to a single standout performer or distributed among multiple fighters, depending on the caliber of performances displayed throughout the night.
Evolution of UFC Bonus Structures
Historically, the UFC's standard post-fight bonus was set at $50,000 for a decade, starting in 2014. However, that figure doubled to $100,000 earlier this year, following the launch of the company’s $7.7 billion broadcast partnership with Paramount.
While UFC CEO Dana White has occasionally authorized one-time increases—such as the $300,000 bonuses issued during UFC 300—he has frequently resisted calls to make such hikes a permanent fixture. Following a lackluster performance-based outcome at UFC 304 in July 2024, White famously stated, «I will never be pressured into raising the bonuses for a one-off event again».
Event Details and Lineup
Known officially as UFC Freedom 250, the event is scheduled for June 14 on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington, D.C. The card features two high-stakes championship bouts, including a lightweight title unification fight and an interim heavyweight title clash.
