Following the game, Lakers head coach JJ Redick confirmed that the forward had suffered a full dislocation of his right pinky finger. The severity of the injury was evident, reportedly drawing an immediate reaction from the Thunder bench players who witnessed the play.
Before the injury forced him out of the game, Vanderbilt logged six minutes of play, recording two points and one rebound. For the current season, the forward has contributed averages of 4.4 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.
