New Faces Gracing the Cover

While the calendar only shows June, the anticipation for the upcoming college football season is already building. EA Sports officially revealed the cover stars for the standard edition of College Football 27 this Tuesday, showcasing three standout talents: Oregon quarterback Dante Moore, Miami wide receiver Malachi Toney, and Ole Miss running back Kewan Lacy.

The Journey of the Cover Stars

The selection features athletes who have taken distinct paths to reach their current success:

  • Dante Moore (Oregon): Currently a redshirt junior, Moore's career trajectory saw him move from UCLA to Oregon. After serving as a backup in 2024, he broke out in 2025 with an impressive 3,365 passing yards and 30 touchdowns. Despite being a top prospect for the 2026 NFL Draft, he opted to return for another collegiate season.
  • Malachi Toney (Miami): Toney quickly established himself as a force in the ACC, leading the conference in 2025 with 109 receptions, 1,211 receiving yards, and 10 touchdowns.
  • Kewan Lacy (Ole Miss): After starting at Missouri, the running back transferred to Ole Miss, where he dominated the field. In 2025, he led all of college football with 306 carries and secured 24 rushing touchdowns to lead the SEC. He remains committed to the Rebels for his junior year despite recent coaching changes.

A Continuing Legacy

This release marks the third iteration of the popular franchise since its highly anticipated revival in 2024. In the inaugural return, the cover featured Quinn Ewers, Travis Hunter, and Donovan Edwards. Last year's title, CFB26, shifted focus to wide receivers, showcasing Alabama’s Ryan Williams and Ohio State’s Jeremiah Smith.

In keeping with tradition, EA Sports will release a separate cover for the "deluxe edition" of the game. However, this special artwork will be exclusive to physical copies, while digital purchasers of the deluxe version will see the standard cover icon displayed on their platforms.
