A Milestone Performance for the Indiana Fever

The Indiana Fever’s future looks exceptionally bright following a standout performance by rising stars Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston. During Thursday’s thrilling 114-106 overtime win against the Chicago Sky, the duo achieved a feat never before seen in the WNBA.

Clark and Boston etched their names into the league record books by becoming the first set of teammates to both record at least 30 points and reach a double-double in the same game. Clark spearheaded the effort with 32 points and 10 assists, while Boston commanded the interior, racking up 34 points and 12 rebounds.

Clark Enters Exclusive Territory

With this performance, Caitlin Clark added another accolade to her growing resume. It was the third time in her professional career that she has reached the 30-point and 10-assist threshold. This achievement is statistically rare, having only been accomplished by a handful of legendary WNBA players, including Diana Taurasi, Sabrina Ionescu, Skylar Diggins, and Jia Perkins.

A Dramatic Back-and-Forth Battle

The match was defined by intense momentum shifts. The Fever established a commanding 19-point lead early in the second quarter, but the Sky staged an aggressive comeback to lead by the third. The final stages of regulation play were particularly volatile:

  • Indiana enjoyed a five-point advantage with less than 18 seconds on the clock.
  • Chicago successfully forced overtime following a series of events, including free throws from Elizabeth Williams, a Fever turnover, and a critical three-pointer by Skylar Diggins.

Although Chicago rookie Sydney Taylor provided a major spark off the bench with 30 points, the Fever maintained their composure to clinch the victory during overtime. The win brings the Fever to a 7-5 overall record and a 3-1 mark in Commissioner's Cup standings.
