In a historic achievement, the United States has won more gold medals at these Winter Olympics than in any previous edition of the Games.

The milestone was capped by a thrilling men's hockey final where Jack Hughes scored the game-winning goal for Team USA just 1:40 into overtime. Hughes converted a centering pass from Zach Werenski, beating goaltender Jordan Binnington to secure the victory.

This gold medal marks the first Olympic championship for the U.S. men's hockey team since the famous "Miracle on Ice" in 1980.
