Stephen Curry made a strong return from a 27-game absence due to a knee injury on Sunday night, scoring 29 points for the Golden State Warriors. Despite his performance, the Warriors lost 117-116 to the Houston Rockets after Alperen Sengun's game-winning layup.

Curry came off the bench, hitting 11-of-21 from the field and 5-of-10 from three-point range in 26 minutes. He had a chance to win the game with a buzzer-beater from the top of the key, but the shot missed.

The Warriors' loss is their fourth straight, leaving them 10th in the Western Conference. Curry, who is on a minutes restriction, averaged 27.2 points per game before his injury. Coach Steve Kerr aims to have him at full strength for the upcoming play-in tournament.
