Korir delivered an exceptional performance, crossing the finish line in just 2:01:52. This remarkable achievement set a new course record, standing as the fastest time recorded in the 130-year legacy of the Boston Marathon.
The Competition
The runner-up position was secured by Alphonce Felix Simbu of Tanzania, who trailed Korir by 55 seconds. Notably, this marks the second year in a row that Simbu has earned second place at the event.
